The company started out working with BC Hydro in the mid-80’s, and have been inspecting gas systems and keeping communities safe ever since. - Process uses EM locating with depth measurement, as well as camera rodder
Private Gas System Safety Inspection
Western Leakages’ leak detection business started in the 1980’s when the company accepted a contract with BC Hydro. Since that time, Western Leakage Services has attracted and retained renowned corporate clients such as Enbridge Gas and The City Of Medicine Hat, and has continued working with FortisBC throughout their expansion from BC Hydro to BC Gas to Terasen Gas and now FortisBC.
In addition to 35+ years of experience in corporate gas inspections, Western Leakage Services has 20 years of experience in private system underground gas safety inspections. Simon Fraser University, British Columbia Institute of Technology and Capilano University are a small sample of gas systems Western Leakage Services currently maintains and keeps safe.
